{"id":325722,"date":"2025-08-07T17:16:15","date_gmt":"2025-08-07T17:16:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/325722\/"},"modified":"2025-08-07T17:16:15","modified_gmt":"2025-08-07T17:16:15","slug":"benjamin-seskos-agent-has-just-made-a-financial-sacrifice-to-complete-manchester-united-transfer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/325722\/","title":{"rendered":"Benjamin Sesko\u2019s agent has just made a financial sacrifice to complete Manchester United transfer"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Manchester United are set to snap up a new striker after agreeing a deal to sign RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko on Thursday.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitedinfocus.com\/tag\/ruben-amorim\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ruben Amorim<\/a> wants more goals from his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitedinfocus.com\/club\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Manchester United<\/a> squad, and summer recruitment has almost entirely revolved around attacking solutions.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitedinfocus.com\/transfer-news\/matheus-cunha-to-manchester-united-confirmed-as-wolverhampton-wanderers-star-becomes-first-summer-signing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Matheus Cunha joined United<\/a> from Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier this summer, before <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitedinfocus.com\/transfer-news\/bryan-mbeumo-unveiled-as-manchester-united-player-long-awaited-transfer-becomes-official\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bryan Mbeumo arrived at Old Trafford<\/a> from Brentford.<\/p>\n<p>Cunha and Mbeumo are likely to play in number 10 roles moving forward, and Amorim has also targeted a new centre-forward.<\/p>\n<p>Joshua Zirkzee looked more impressive as a number 10 last season, and Rasmus Hojlund managed just four Premier League goals.<\/p>\n<p>United have been chasing a new striker, and now appear to be on the verge of a significant signing.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/GettyImages-2189544606-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Benjamin Sesko celebrates scoring for RB Leipzig.\" \/>Photo by RONNY HARTMANN\/AFP via Getty Images<strong>Benjamin Sesko\u2019s agent makes sacrifice for Manchester United transfer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitedinfocus.com\/transfer-news\/benjamin-sesko-to-man-utd-fee-agreed-rb-leipzig-grant-permission-for-striker-to-fly-for-medical-flight-booked\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">United have agreed to sign Benjamin Sesko<\/a> in a big-money move from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitedinfocus.com\/transfer-news\/benjamin-sesko-tells-newcastle-he-has-chosen-manchester-united-ineos-set-to-win-transfer-race\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Newcastle were looking to sign Sesko<\/a>, but United have managed to win the race with a huge deal.<\/p>\n<p>United will pay \u00a366.3million as a fixed fee with \u00a37.3million in add-ons, potentially taking the deal to around \u00a373.6million.<\/p>\n<p>That will take United\u2019s attacking investment to over \u00a3200million if all add-ons are met, but Sesko and his agent have made financial sacrifices.<\/p>\n<p>As reported by Sky Germany\u2019s Florian Plettenberg, Sesko has agreed to \u2018waive\u2019 part of his salary, despite having the chance to earn even more money at Newcastle.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, agent Elvis Basanovic is understood to have sacrificed some of his commission in order to facilitate a move.<\/p>\n<p>Both Sesko and Basanovic were so keen to strike a deal that they made financial sacrifices in order to join United.<\/p>\n<p>Sesko will now sign a five-year deal and become United\u2019s new striking threat, which may just bring some questions over Rasmus Hojlund\u2019s future.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\ud83d\udea8\ud83d\udd34 Excl. detail | To make the deal with Manchester United possible, Benjamin <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Sesko?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">#Sesko<\/a> has agreed to waive part of his salary \u2014 he could have earned more at Newcastle.<\/p>\n<p>His agency, led by Elvis Basanovic, has also given up a significant share of the commission.
