The unusual property, on the market for \u00a359,000, is part of a former factory that was converted into flats in 2008.<\/p>\n

Found in the student-heavy Sheffield in South Yorkshire, the studio-style home is essentially one long, narrow room with a single mattress laid out on the floor next to a sofa.<\/p>\n

The current resident has a laptop, keyboard and mouse laid on the floor next to the mattress.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, on the other end of the room is a small kitchen, in an offer which has been described as ‘ideal for students’.<\/p>\n

The flat is located in Whitecroft Works, a development described in the listing as an ‘elegant factory conversion that combines a piece of Sheffield’s heritage with 21st-century living’.<\/p>\n

The property is close to a Tesco Express, and within five minutes of both tram and bus stops. The city centre and Fargate are also just a short walk away.<\/p>\n

Some may be attracted to the room for its size, as it might be easy to clean; however, many have blasted it for its size.<\/p>\n

Danny said: ‘Ridiculous.’<\/p>\n

Another commentator said: ‘You can buy a two-bed house for \u00a3100,000 in Sheffield. Invest better.’<\/p>\n

Someone else added: ‘If I did buy, I need the whole inside re-doing. Small as f***.’<\/p>\n

Another person said: ‘No way.’<\/p>\n

A fifth commentator added: ‘Nice area, city centre, cheap.’<\/p>\n

A Yopa spokesperson said: ‘Furniss Hill, is a studio ground floor apartment, nestled amongst the hustle and bustle of the Sheffield city Centre, so great access to the shops, offices, cafe, bars and entertainment:<\/p>\n

‘It’s actually is the smallest studio apartment I have ever had on the market in 28 years of being an agent, it may be small but has lots of charm and character: a grand total of 21 Square meters and if purchased at \u00a359,000 it would generate a 11 percent gross yield as a buy to let as the property has the option to be sold with tenant in situ.<\/p>\n

‘So, a great opportunity for a first-time investor or another one to add to a portfolio for seasoned investors.’<\/p>\n
