Manchester United<\/a> have confirmed their plans to welcome David De Gea<\/a> back to the club when they face Fiorentina this weekend.<\/p>\n United will take on the Serie A outfit in a pre-season friendly at Old Trafford<\/a> on Saturday afternoon. The fixture will be United’s final match before their Premier League<\/a> opener against Arsenal on August 17.<\/p>\n De Gea left United in the summer of 2023 as a free agent when his contract with the club expired. The Spain international went on to spend a year without a club before going on to join Fiorentina on a free transfer last summer.<\/p>\n United replaced De Gea with Andre Onana<\/a> between the posts two summers ago, and now the duo will go head-to-head this weekend. Ahead of the fixture, United have confirmed they have plans in place for when De Gea returns to Old Trafford on Saturday.<\/p>\n The Reds have confirmed that there will be a presentation pre-match to honour De Gea’s time with the club. Bruno Fernandes will lead the presentation, which will take place ahead of kick-off.<\/p>\n During his time at United, De Gea made 545 appearances and won five major trophies, including a Premier League title.
