The ministry also ensured that machine-to-machine networks (automated systems that communicate without human intervention) would remain operational, allowing ATMs and similar self-service devices to\u00a0continue functioning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"SimpleBlock-module_context_p__Mdu1R \">Mobile Internet shutdowns have surged across Russia in\u00a0recent months in\u00a0response to\u00a0Ukrainian drone attacks. According to\u00a0the monitoring project <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/na_svyazi_helpdesk\/691\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Na\u00a0Svyazi<\/a>, Russians experienced at\u00a0least 2,099 shutdowns in\u00a0July 2025 alone \u2014 a\u00a0record high that represents a\u00a0dramatic increase from 69 outages in\u00a0May 2025.
