There are very few people who have had a career like\u00a0Graham Nash<\/a>, but even he knows that all good things come to an end.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Everything started in Salford for Nash when he began making music with the band The Hollies. While they\u2019re just\u00a0a footnote in his long career<\/a>, Nash admits he is happy with the music from this period, admitting that deep meaning was set aside in favour of fun, upbeat songs that got people dancing.\u00a0<\/p>\n

While he enjoyed playing in The Hollies, Nash was called over to the States after he sang with two people who would become his bandmates, David Crosby and Stephen Stills. When they sang together, Nash had the somewhat sad revelation that he would have to leave his band in the UK to start making music overseas. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhen David, Stephen and I sang together for the first time, things were never the same again,\u201d he said, \u201cThe Hollies, Buffalo Springfield and The Byrds were good harmony bands, but nothing sounded like our three voices becoming one voice. I knew I would have to go back to England and leave The Hollies. I had to follow that sound.\u201d<\/p>\n

This marked the beginning of a career that stands as the envy of singer-songwriters around the globe. Regardless of the band he was in or the period of time, Nash has continued to make exceptional music, and there doesn\u2019t seem to be any deviation from that. Even now, he still tours and performs the songs he wrote decades ago as if they were brand new. He has truly done everything\u2026 or has he? <\/p>\n

Nash admitted that while he was happy with the way his career had turned out, there was still something he was desperate to do, and that\u2019s perform an acoustic rendition of \u2018Yesterday\u2019 with Paul McCartney. Often dubbed the best song ever written and a track that remains close to people\u2019s hearts, \u2018Yesterday\u2019 is a song that moves people with its simplicity, but it\u2019s easy to hear why. <\/p>\n

\u201cThere is one thing,\u201d said Nash, \u201cSomeday I would to sing \u2018Yesterday\u2019 with McCartney, just an acoustic guitar and our two voices.\u201d <\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time that Nash has admitted to being a fan of McCartney (and all of the Beatles, for that matter). He has previously gone on the record saying that\u00a0\u2018A Day In The Life\u2019<\/a>\u00a0is one of his favourite songs ever written and that the band blew his mind when they released it.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s one of the greatest songs ever written. It\u2019s one of the most adventurous songs ever written and recorded,\u201d he said, \u201cI don\u2019t think there\u2019ll ever be another Beatles; I think that the universe put those four kids in the right place at the right time and gave them the right talent, to be able to move the hearts, minds and spirits of billions of people, and continue to this day.\u201d<\/p>\n

After such a successful career, Nash is left wanting to do one special performance, and it would involve uniting with one of his favourite artists to put together one final performance. A stripped-back and serene rendition of \u2018Yesterday\u2019.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
