Nigel Farage&#8217;s party has <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.walesonline.co.uk\/news\/wales-news\/reform-uk-gets-first-carmarthenshire-31754275\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">its second councillor in Carmarthenshire <\/a>after Carmelo Colasanto comfortably beat <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.walesonline.co.uk\/all-about\/plaid-cymru\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Plaid Cymru<\/a> and Welsh <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.walesonline.co.uk\/all-about\/labour-party\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Labour<\/a> to win a seat on the council.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The election for the Llangennech seat on <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.walesonline.co.uk\/all-about\/carmarthenshire\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Carmarthenshire<\/a> County Council was held on Thursday, August 6, following the death of &#8220;much-loved&#8221; Labour councillor Gary Jones. The result comes weeks after Senedd member for South East Wales, Laura Anne Jones, announced<a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.walesonline.co.uk\/news\/politics\/senior-conservative-senedd-member-defects-32110016\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\"> she was defecting from the Tories to Reform<\/a> at the Royal Welsh Show, making her the Senedd&#8217;s first Reform MS.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The Reform win marks the fourth time the party&#8217;s candidate has won an election in Wales. A massive congratulations to Councillor Carmelo Colasanto, newly elected in Llangennech &amp; Bryn Ward for Carmarthenshire County Council!<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;This is a huge win for Reform UK Wales \u2014 proof that people are ready for real change, and that Labour\u2019s grip is slipping. Well done Carmelo, the team, and every single volunteer who made this possible.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;The tide is turning \u2014 and this is just the beginning.
