{"id":327437,"date":"2025-08-08T08:44:21","date_gmt":"2025-08-08T08:44:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/327437\/"},"modified":"2025-08-08T08:44:21","modified_gmt":"2025-08-08T08:44:21","slug":"devastation-wreaked-by-frances-biggest-wildfire-in-70-years","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/327437\/","title":{"rendered":"Devastation wreaked by France&#8217;s biggest wildfire in 70 years"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n                        France&#8217;s largest recorded wildfire since 1949 has left a trail of destruction with homes and vehicles burned and vineyards left charred and destroyed.\n                    <\/p>\n<p>The fire in France&#8217;s southern Aude d\u00e9partement, near Carcassonne, burned 17,000 acres before being brought under control on Thursday night.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday morning it was still burning, with local authorities saying they expect it to continue burning for several days.
