Antoine Dupont won\u2019t be rushed back to full fitness, having spent the last five months on the sidelines.<\/b><\/p>\n
The scrum-half ruptured a cruciate ligament in his right knee during the 2025 Six Nations match against Ireland and has been sidelined ever since.<\/p>\n
Dupont<\/a> has been rehabilitating the injury for the past five months, and there was a hope that he would recover in time for the November internationals.<\/p>\n Rehab continues<\/p>\n He spent two weeks in Switzerland, at the H\u00f4pital de La Tour based in Meyrin, a sports medicine centre where he followed\u00a0\u201ca structured and intensive program, designed to support him towards an optimal return to the field,\u201d\u00a0as stated in a Toulouse press release.<\/p>\n The French captain has now returned to his club and will continue his rehab at the Stade Ernest-Wallon from next week.<\/p>\n Speaking to L\u2019Equipe last month, Dupont said that he won\u2019t be rushing back.<\/p>\n \u201cI will be eight months on from my injury,\u201d the Toulouse half-back said.<\/p>\n \u201cI think it\u2019s a reasonable amount of time. I hope everything will go well between now and then. I\u2019m not sure it would be very intelligent to rush, even if it\u2019s hard to miss international games.\u201d<\/p>\n This means that he will miss the start of Toulouse\u2019s Top 14 campaign and France\u2019s November Tests against South Africa, Fiji and Australia.<\/p>\n \u201cI still have a few years of my career left and knees, I only have two, one of which is already badly damaged,\u201d Dupont added.<\/p>\n Rugby World Cup \u2018injustice\u2019 still taking its toll on Antoine Dupont<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n
