Yuki, a five-year-old Amur tiger, gave birth to the two cubs on July 29 <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/whats-on\/whats-on-news\/knowsley-safari-welcomes-new-rare-30937471\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"after arriving at the park in February as part of a globalLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">after arriving at the park in February as part of a global<\/a> breeding programme.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Amur tigers, <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/knowsley-safari-park\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"the largest cat species in the worldLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">the largest cat species in the world<\/a>, are classified as endangered by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature, with only around 500 remaining in the wild.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">These are the first Amur tiger cubs to be born at Knowsley Safari since 1996, and the first to be born in the UK since May 2024, when four female cubs were born at Longleat Safari in Wiltshire, to mother Yana and father Red.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The safari park said Yuki was doing well and feeding and bonding with her cubs in their den.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/0_Amur-tiger-cubs-born-at-Knowsley-Safari.jpg\" alt=\"Yuki, a five-year-old Amur tiger, with her two rare tiger cubs\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>Yuki, a five-year-old Amur tiger, with her two rare tiger cubs(Image: PA)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The father, seven-year-old Makari, is in the neighbouring paddock.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The cubs&#8217;
