Two men have been arrested after reports of men “in the possession of a firearm” after a fire <\/a>at a block of flats in Edinburgh.<\/p>\n

Officers from Police Scotland raced to Loganlea Terrace <\/a>in the Craigentinny area of the city at around 5.30pm on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Cops attended <\/a>and found a property on fire. There were no reports <\/a>of any injuries. Following further enquiries two men aged 22 and 29 were arrested <\/a>in connection with drug offences.<\/p>\n

Inquiries are ongoing. No weapons have been recovered<\/a>. Inquiries to establish the cause of the fire are also ongoing.<\/p>\n

A statement from Police Scotland<\/a> reads: “Around 5.30pm on Thursday, 7 August, 2025, we received a report of men seen in possession of what appeared to be a firearm on Loganlea Terrace, Edinburgh.<\/p>\n

“Emergency services attended and found a property on fire<\/a>. There were no reports <\/a>of any injuries.<\/p>\n

“Following further enquiries two men aged 22 and 29 were arrested in connection with drug offences and enquiries are ongoing. No weapons <\/a>were recovered.
