\n\tNetflix<\/a>\u2018s U.K. arm delivered a strong performance in 2024, with revenue climbing 11% to \u00a31.85 billion ($2.48 billion) as the streaming giant continued its expansion in the territory, according to an annual report filed with Companies House. <\/p>\n

\n\tNetflix Services U.K. Limited, the company\u2019s British distribution arm, reported operating profit of \u00a343.2 million ($58 million) for the year ending Dec. 31, 2024, down from \u00a353.7 million ($72.1 million) the previous year. However, profit after tax rose to \u00a347.8 million ($64.1 million) from \u00a346.5 million ($62.4 million) in 2023.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe revenue boost was driven by an 11% growth in average paid memberships, reflecting Netflix\u2019s continued dominance in the competitive U.K. streaming market. The company\u2019s revenue comprised both membership fees and reimbursements for services provided to Netflix International B.V. and Netflix Inc.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe Company distributed interim dividends in the amount of GBP 50 million on 23 July 2024,\u201d the filing noted, equivalent to $67.2 million.<\/p>\n

\n\tNetflix U.K.\u2019s workforce expanded to an average of 263 employees during 2024, up from 220 the previous year, with the company investing heavily in content support, finance, legal administration and marketing functions.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe British operation also made significant moves toward sustainability, setting two near-term climate targets aligned with consensus science. The company aims to reduce emissions from a 2019 baseline by 2030 through its Science Based Targets initiative, including a 46% reduction in absolute emissions.<\/p>\n

\n\tNetflix U.K. also highlighted its commitment to diversity and inclusion, noting partnerships with organizations like the National Youth Theatre and IGNITE to provide workshops for young people across Wales, Yorkshire and the North East, helping build networks and raise awareness about entertainment industry careers.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a subsequent corporate restructuring move, Netflix Services Holdings B.V. legally merged with Netflix International B.V. in May, with Netflix International becoming the immediate shareholder of the U.K. company.<\/p>\n
