Baywatch icon Pamela Anderson<\/a> has addressed allegations that Meghan Markle<\/a> “ripped off” her cooking show.<\/p>\n The accusations surfaced when the Duchess’s Netflix<\/a> series With Love, Meghan, debuted in March this year, arriving just one week after Pamela’s Amazon show, Pamela’s Cooking with Love, hit screens.<\/p>\n During an interview for her latest movie The Naked Gun, co-starring Liam Neeson<\/a>, Pamela faced questions about the comparisons between their respective lifestyle programs, reports the Mirror UK.<\/a><\/p>\n READ MORE: Meghan Markle ‘locked in negotiations’ to work through new deal with Netflix<\/a>READ MORE: Meghan Markle’s Netflix viewing figures for cooking show finally revealed<\/a><\/p>\n On Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live, the host tackled the viral claims during his signature segment, called Plead the Fifth, when the guest is asked a bunch of hard-to-answer questions.<\/p>\n Cohen questioned Anderson: “On a scale from one to 10, how much of a rip-off did you feel like With Love, Meghan was of your show, Pamela’s Cooking with Love?”<\/p>\n Looking taken aback by the inquiry, Anderson responded: “One \u2013 I didn’t”. When Cohen persisted with the topic, asking: “One? On a scale from one to 10, you did not see any similarities?”.<\/p>\n Pamela replied with laughter: “No, I didn’t really look, but I didn’t invent cooking shows. She’s just doing her thing.”<\/p>\n Supporters of Anderson’s show were swift to highlight the parallels between the two programs when they debuted, observing that Anderson and Meghan both recorded themselves in well-lit rustic kitchens, beaming and chuckling with visitors, while preparing upscale dishes alongside attractive friends and famous faces.<\/p>\n Additionally, both women were captured on camera holding wicker baskets brimming with produce from their gardens, moving rhythmically to music, and celebrating with their guests through high-fives. Both series also consisted of eight episodes.<\/p>\n Anderson was asked about Meghan Markle’s TV show<\/p>\n Anderson isn’t the sole celebrity to whom Meghan’s fresh lifestyle venture has drawn comparisons, as digital critics have also drawn parallels between Meghan’s brand As Ever and comparable ventures by Gwyneth Paltrow and Martha Stewart.<\/p>\n Though Paltrow and Anderson have both moved quickly to dismiss speculation of any tension between themselves and the Duchess of Sussex, Martha Stewart appeared somewhat more reserved in her remarks about Meghan.<\/p>\n Speaking with Yahoo Lifestyle, Martha commented about the Duchess: “Meghan I don’t really know very well, and I hope she knows what she’s talking about.<\/p>\n The Hollywood actress came to the Duchess’ defense<\/p>\n “Authenticity, to me, is everything, and to be authentic and knowledgeable about your subject matter is extremely important.”<\/p>\n Despite a second season of With Love, Meghan being scheduled to broadcast later this year, recent claims suggest that Meghan and Harry’s profitable agreement with Netflix won’t be extended when it concludes in September.
