The picturesque La Cala de Finestrat is gearing up to host one of the summer\u2019s most iconic sports events: the 48th edition of the \u201cBeach Volley Tour\u201d, Spain\u2019s oldest 4\u00d74 beach volleyball tournament, taking place on August 15. Organised by the Sports Department, this historic tournament brings together amateur players and international stars, including Olympic-level athletes such as Ra\u00fal\u00a0 Mesa, for a thrilling day of competition on the sand.<\/strong><\/p>\n Beatriz Quintill\u00e1n, Finestrat\u2019s sports councillor, said: \u201cSummer in Finestrat means top sports events at our stunning Cala. From 15 to 17 August, we\u2019ll enjoy three intense days of high-level beach volleyball, starting with our 48th Beach Volley Tour tournament, the oldest 4\u00d74 competition in Spain.\u201d<\/p>\n The action continues over the August long weekend with two more key events. On Saturday 16 August, the 9th Mixed 4\u00d74 Tournament will see teams of men and women compete together in a competition limited to 16 teams.
