{"id":328802,"date":"2025-08-08T20:46:25","date_gmt":"2025-08-08T20:46:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/328802\/"},"modified":"2025-08-08T20:46:25","modified_gmt":"2025-08-08T20:46:25","slug":"air-france-klm-group-switches-most-a350-1000s-to-900s-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/328802\/","title":{"rendered":"Air France-KLM Group switches most A350-1000s to -900s | News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Air France-KLM Group has reduced its order for Airbus A350-1000s, opting to convert most of them to the smaller -900 variant.<\/p>\n<p>The company had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flightglobal.com\/airlines\/air-france-klm-to-order-50-a350s-including-1000s\/155091.article\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ordered 50 of the twinjets<\/a> in 2023 \u2013 an initial commitment to six -900s in July, followed by 33 more in December alongside 11 of the -1000 model.<\/p>\n<p>It stated at the time that it would use the A350s to replace older aircraft including the Airbus A330 and Boeing 777.<\/p>\n<p>Airbus\u2019s latest backlog figures, covering the first seven months of this year, indicate that eight of the group\u2019s 11 A350-1000s have been switched to -900s.<\/p>\n<p class=\"picture\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"A350-900_RR_AFR_KLM-c-Air France-KLM Group\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/111930_a350900_rr_afr_klmcairfranceklmgroup_114419.jpg\"   loading=\"eager\" class=\"lazyloaded\" width=\"1000\" height=\"643\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Air France had previously placed an individual order for 38 A350-900s \u2013 of which 36 have been delivered \u2013 as well as four A350 freighters.<\/p>\n<p>With the additional agreement for 50, Air France-KLM is poised to become the largest operator of A350s.<\/p>\n<p>Air France-KLM Group\u2019s cargo operation Martinair also had four A350Fs on order, but the Airbus update shows <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flightglobal.com\/air-transport\/martinair-a350f-trimmed-from-air-france-klm-backlog\/164111.article\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">one of these aircraft has been trimmed from the backlog<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Airbus has secured total orders for 1,009 A350-900s as well as 354 A350-900s and 65 A350Fs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Air France-KLM Group has reduced its order for Airbus A350-1000s, opting to convert most of them to the&hellip;\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":328803,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[5309],"tags":[2000,299,36],"class_list":{"0":"post-328802","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-france","8":"tag-eu","9":"tag-europe","10":"tag-france"},"share_on_mastodon":{"url":"https:\/\/pubeurope.com\/@uk\/114995107359405683","error":""},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/328802","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=328802"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/328802\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/328803"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=328802"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=328802"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=328802"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
