As part of the plan 33 branches of the store are set to be shut.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the company confirmed it has managed to secure reduced rents on 71 other stores as part of its plan in a bid to reduce financial pressure.<\/p>\n
Lawyers representing River Island said in court that the company “simply has not been able to reverse” a trend of financial challenges.<\/p>\n
Stores across the UK including London, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales will be impacted by the closures.<\/p>\n
