Fans have flocked from as far as Spain and Korea for the first of three shows of their epic reunion tour. We spoke to some excited concert-goers.<\/p>\n

Oasis fans have spoken of the thrill of getting to see the Gallagher brothers<\/a> perform together in Scotland for the first time in 16 years.<\/p>\n

They will perform in Scotland for fans at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield<\/a> in just a matter of hours, as well as tomorrow and on Tuesday, August 12.<\/p>\n

Thousands headed through to the capital<\/a> from as far afield as South Korea, Spain and California, as well as closer to home. There was also a special treat as the band\u2019s soundcheck could be heard all the way to Haymarket while the Manchester group belted out songs including champagne Supernova, Half The World Away and Roll It.<\/p>\n

Shop worker Hannah Stewart, 18, said: \u201cI\u2019m buzzing<\/a>. My dad brought me up on it so I\u2019ve been so excited to see them. I went through war to get these tickets so it\u2019s just amazing to be here. It\u2019s so special with them saying they would never get back together and doing this. The fact that it is happening and there are three nights shows how much people want to see them. All the fans love it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pharmacy worker Kayleigh Downs, 20, and sister, steam train worker, Ruby, 17, travelled from their home in Inverness, to catch Oasis<\/a> live for the first time.<\/p>\n

Ruby said: \u201cWe grew up with them thanks to our dad. We\u2019re so excited to be here. It\u2019s very exciting. I was screaming when we got the tickets and we have loved every single song.\u201d<\/p>\n

Product manager Stuart Ferguson, 43, from Glasgow, said: \u201cIt\u2019s been a long time coming and is emotional. I saw them the last time they were here and have seen Liam and Noel doing their solo stuff but it doesn\u2019t compare to seeing them together. We came through on the train and tram and everyone has been chilled out. Nothing can compare to seeing them together onstage.<\/p>\n

Ayoung Jo, 28, an office worker from South Korea, said: \u201cThis is my first time here. I came with friends to see Oasis. I had to try to get a ticket for 11 hours. It was a long time but I was luckily got three tickets. The Oasis reunion is amazing. My favourite song is Live Forever.\u201d<\/p>\n

School leaver Eilidh White, 18, from Edinburgh, said: \u201cMy parents got me into them. Seeing the band walking onstage will be a moment.\u201d<\/p>\n

Biomedical science student Lewis Brockie, 20, from Edinburgh said: \u201cit should be an immense occasion for any fan of Oasis. Everyone is very excited. I started getting into them listening to tracks on the radio when I was younger.\u201d<\/p>\n

Music and Psychology student Joel Rushton, 20, a music student Euan Fraser, 22, picked up the bagpipes and acoustic guitar to belt out Oasis favourites outside the stadium.<\/p>\n

With an almost captive audience on the way into the pair busked as thousands made their way in. Euan said: \u201cIt all stemmed from Joel had the idea. He had been learning the songs on the bagpipes and suggested I play the guitar with him. We practiced at mine and here we are a week later.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joel added: \u201cI\u2019ve been a fan of Oasis and we try to include as many songs as we can from the set list. Songs like Hello which is the opening track from the set list is probably the best on the pipes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Anna Teijeira and Fernando Ayers, both 45, travelled from Madrid, Spain. Anna said: \u201cWe flew to Manchester then we had to take a bus. I haven\u2019t seen Oasis since 1997 in Madrid. We have seen Noel and we have seen Liam and we had to see Oasis in Scotland. We are really big fans of Oasis and Liam Gallagher.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fernando added: \u201cThis is a dream for us and music is what brought us together and kept us a couple and so this is a celebration.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Gallagher brothers will be occupied with the tour until the end of the year, with performances scheduled up to late November. The final night of their tour is November 23 in Brazil.<\/p>\n
