The American fast food chain will open its sixth West Midlands restaurant of the year at Perry Barr’s One Stop Shopping Centre<\/p>\n

Popeyes has confirmed the opening date for another new Birmingham restaurant and bosses are expecting ‘huge crowds’ on opening day.<\/p>\n

The US fried chicken chain announced a major West Midlands expansion<\/a> in April, revealing plans to launch six new restaurants this year.<\/p>\n

Fans queues for more than 14 hours when Popeyes opened at New Street Station<\/a> last month.<\/p>\n

Other new sites have already opened at Birmingham Airport<\/a>, Wednesbury, The Fort and Tyseley, with the final location at Perry Barr’s One Stop Shopping Centre scheduled to open on Friday, August 15.<\/p>\n

It followed the opening of Popeyes’ first Birmingham restaurant on New Street<\/a> last August.<\/p>\n

With giveaways promised at the Perry Barr<\/a> launch, bosses are expecting to see long queues once again.<\/p>\n

The first three people in line will be gifted Popeyes’ famous Chicken Sandwiches for free for a year, and the first 50 customers will receive exclusive Popeyes UK merchandise. The first 100 customers will also bag a free Chicken Sandwich.<\/p>\n

Doors will open at 11am and the team is encouraging diners to arrive early to avoid missing out.<\/p>\n

Tom Crowley, Popeyes UK’s CEO, said: “The response across the West Midlands to our recent openings has been phenomenal and it’s clear there’s real appetite for Popeyes.<\/p>\n

“Our new restaurant in Perry Barr gives us another opportunity to bring a taste of New Orleans to even more locals, and continue building on that momentum across the region.”<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for the One Stop Shopping Centre added: “We are thrilled to welcome Popeyes to One Stop Shopping Centre.<\/p>\n

“Their arrival brings an exciting new offering to our already vibrant food offering, and we know our shoppers are going to love their famous Louisiana chicken.<\/p>\n

“This opening marks another fantastic addition to our centre, reinforcing our commitment to providing a diverse and high-quality experience for everyone who visits.”<\/p>\n

The branch will have 76 seats and self-service kiosks and offer both dine-in and takeaway options across a menu of Popeyes favourites, including hot wings, tenders and signature chicken wraps, as well as the new Hot Honey range.<\/p>\n

All dishes are halal-certified and marinated for 12 hours in the brand’s signature blend of bold Louisiana seasoning.
