The Madrid Open is rapidly approaching, representing the next ATP Masters 1000 event in the calendar.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Another such event in the Monte Carlo Masters has just concluded, with Carlos Alcaraz emerging victorious.<\/p>\n

Andy Roddick thinks Alcaraz played with a different intensity<\/a> in Monaco, where he clinched his second ATP<\/a> title of 2025.<\/p>\n

Alcaraz is capable of really shining on clay<\/a> this season, with his current focus now on the Barcelona Open<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The ATP Tour has also moved on from the Monte Carlo Masters to the BMW Open, with Madrid up next in the schedule.<\/p>\n

But there has already been a notable casualty for the tournament, with Alejandro Tabilo<\/a> withdrawing from Madrid.<\/p>\n

The Chilean ace has been replaced by Briton Cameron Norrie and German Daniel Altmaier is next in the list, with Tabilo having withdrawn from the BMW Open<\/a> because of a left wrist injury.<\/p>\n

The WTA Tour also heads to the Spanish capital in the near future, with former world number four Caroline Garcia having withdrawn from the Madrid Open<\/a> too.<\/p>\n

What ATP Tour titles has Alejandro Tabilo won?<\/p>\n

Tabilo has been causing plenty of upsets in recent times, with the Chilean having knocked Novak Djokovic<\/a> out of the Monte Carlo Masters earlier this month.<\/p>\n

The victory over the third seed came after he edged past Stan Wawrinka, with Tabilo then losing to Grigor Dimitrov in the round of 16.<\/p>\n

Currently sitting 31st in the ATP Tour rankings, the 27-year-old reached a career-high of 19th last summer.<\/p>\n

Norrie meanwhile, once the British number one, fell in qualifying in Monte Carlo before losing his opener in Barcelona.<\/p>\n

The former world number eight did manage to make it through qualifying in Spain, but later lost to Karen Khachanov in round one.<\/p>\n
