The WWE backstage reaction to Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair veering off script on SmackDown has been revealed.<\/p>\n

Ahead of their WWE Women\u2019s Championship match at WrestleMania 41, Stratton and Flair met on the April 4 edition of SmackDown for a promo segment which has gotten the wrestling world talking.<\/p>\n

Things got really personal towards the end of the segment, with Stratton referencing Flair\u2019s divorce from Andrade, and Flair claiming Stratton\u2019s real-life boyfriend Ludwig Kaiser was in her DMs.<\/p>\n

WrestleVotes reported after the segment that Flair and Stratton were \u201coff-script quite a bit<\/a>\u201d during this segment, with the duo reportedly saying very little of what was on the rundown for them.<\/p>\n

With WWE deleting a video<\/a> containing these personal shots, we now know more about the internal reaction to the segment.<\/p>\n

Per Mike Johnson of PWInsider<\/a> \u2013 who also reports that the segment went off-script \u2013 the belief among WWE sources was that Stratton\u2019s shots on Flair were in retaliation for how Flair \u201cate her up\u201d in their previous segment.<\/p>\n

Some felt Tiffany Stratton stood up for herself and put the spotlight back on her, while others felt how the segment ended didn\u2019t help anyone.<\/p>\n

Sources noted to PWInsider that Flair was obviously thrown by the crowd, which made Stratton\u2019s shots hit a lot harder.<\/p>\n

Flair\u2019s comment about Kaiser being in her DMs was described by one source as coming off like \u201ca flailing shot from a boxer who didn\u2019t realize they were KO\u2019d\u201d, with the same source also stating that Flair was \u201cobviously gotten to.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s worth noting that WRKD Wrestling previously reported: \u201cFor anyone concerned or thinking otherwise: Charlotte\u2019s divorce absolutely would not have been mentioned without clearance ahead of time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Regarding Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair’s SmackDown segment, the belief among WWE sources was that Stratton’s shots on Flair were in retaliation for how Flair “ate her up” in their previous segment.<\/p>\n
