Newcastle<\/a> boss Eddie Howe has provided an update on Alexander Isak\u2019s situation, insisting that the forward still cannot be reintegrated into his squad.<\/p>\n

The striker is pushing to join Liverpool<\/a> this summer, despite the Magpies\u2019 insistence that he will remain at St James\u2019 Park next season.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Friday about the situation, Howe said: \u201cHe is here, so of course he has a future at Newcastle<\/a>. So, certainly from our perspective, everyone connected with the club, we would love to see him back with the team.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut the situation has to be right for that to happen. He\u2019s here and he\u2019s contracted to us, so as long as he\u2019s in that position, there is, of course, a chance that he could play for Newcastle<\/a> again. But I don\u2019t know what the future will hold.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve had discussions and it\u2019s clear at the moment that we can\u2019t involve him with the group. I don\u2019t know how long that will be for. That\u2019s the latest. I think I\u2019d rather just leave it with that line. I think the discussions between us have to remain private.
