Marvel<\/a> fans now know when Thunderbolts*<\/strong> will arrive on Disney+<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

When is the Thunderbolts* Disney+ streaming release date?<\/p>\n

According to a Greek Disney+ TV spot, Thunderbolts* will be added to the Disney-owned streaming service on August 27, 2025, roughly three months after the superhero movie was released in theaters. Thunderbolts* was previously released for digital download on July 1 and on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on July 29.<\/p>\n

Directed by Jake Schreier, Thunderbolts* brought together six fan-favorite characters from previous Marvel Cinematic Universe<\/a> projects: Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Red Guardian (David Harbour), and Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko) from Black Widow, John Walker (Wyatt Russell) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) from Ant-Man and the Wasp. The superhero crossover movie saw the anti-heroes reluctantly teaming up to stop Julia Louis-Dreyfus\u2019 Valentina Allegra de Fontaine and Lewis Pullman\u2019s Bob\/Sentry\/Void.<\/p>\n

At the end of Thunderbolts*, the titular team and Pullman\u2019s Bob were rebranded as the New Avengers<\/a> by Fontaine, much to the confusion of the general public. The movie\u2019s post-credits scene subsequently set up their next appearance in the MCU, which will be in Avengers: Doomsday, showing the New Avengers dealing with trademark infringement as well as the arrival of the Fantastic Four to their universe.<\/p>\n

Pugh, Harbour, Russell, Stan, John-Kamen, and Pullman have all been confirmed to reprise their respective MCU roles in Doomsday. They will appear in the movie alongside fellow MCU alums Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Vanessa Kirby (Invisible Woman), Anthony Mackie (Captain America), Letitia Wright (Black Panther), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Tenoch Huerta Mej\u00eda (Namor), Winston Duke (M\u2019Baku), Simu Liu (Shang-Chi), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Danny Ramirez (Falcon), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Thing), Joseph Quinn (Human Torch), Pedro Pascal (Mister Fantastic), Channing Tatum (Gambit), and Robert Downey Jr. (Doctor Doom).<\/p>\n

Doomsday will also bring back six actors from 20th Century Fox\u2019s X-Men franchise: Kelsey Grammer, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, and James Marsden. Grammer and Stewart had previously already returned to their respective X-Men roles as Beast and Professor X in The Marvels and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, while Doomsday will mark the first time fans have seen McKellen\u2019s Magneto, Cumming\u2019s Nightcrawler, Romijn\u2019s Mystique, and Marsden\u2019s Cyclops in the MCU.<\/p>\n

Thunderbolts* is expected to arrive on Disney+ on August 27, 2025, while Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, 2026.<\/p>\n
