<\/p>\n\t\t\t\tGermany crowned Vintage Veteran Trophy champions in Piekosz\u00f3w after fending off France in final motocross showdown. Poland celebrated a home podium after four intense days of action at the world\u2019s premier classic enduro event.<\/p>\n
The fourth and final day of the 2025 FIM Enduro Vintage Trophy opened with motocross-style heats \u2013 prime territory for the specialists to unleash their skill and speed. Starting with a five-minute cushion over France, Germany lined up with a single objective: avoid mistakes.<\/p>\n
France came out swinging, clocking the fastest time in the final special, but Germany\u2019s advantage held firm. Bert von Zitzewitz, Johannes Steinel and Uwe Weber brought it home in second place for the day, sealing their maiden EVT crown by 4\u201951\u201d.<\/p>\n
Cheered on by the home crowd, Poland set the third-fastest time to lock in third overall. Switzerland clung to fourth ahead of the Netherlands, who were over three minutes quicker on the day but ran out of ground to climb higher.<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u201cThe most important thing today was to secure the win,\u201d said an emotional Bert von Zitzewitz. \u201cWe\u2019ve been second here so many times, so finally taking the top step is fantastic. It\u2019s been a tough week with long, physical tests, but also great fun. The bike was perfect \u2013 even though I hadn\u2019t raced it since the EVT in Spain 2023.\u201d<\/p>\n
In the individual scratch standings, American Fred Hoess capped a dominant week with another moto win. The Husqvarna rider led from start to finish, underlining that the Polish sand \u2013 and the vintage format \u2013 is his playground.<\/p>\n
Silver Vase decided by seconds<\/p>\n
The Vintage Silver Vase went down to the wire, with just 6.9 seconds splitting the top two. Pantera 1 started the day five seconds ahead of Moto Club Team Italia and stretched it slightly in the final to secure the title. MC Bergamo MX Line Team and Moto Club Scuderia Norelli completed an all-Italian top four.<\/p>\n
US Leonessa D\u2019Italia 1903 were untouchable in the Vintage Club class, taking the win by nearly six minutes over Czech Classic Enduro Team Club 1. Germany Club 9 MC Ohrdruf rounded out the podium, ahead of Germany Club 4 and ASBTP Nice.<\/p>\n
