{"id":331405,"date":"2025-08-09T20:30:22","date_gmt":"2025-08-09T20:30:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/331405\/"},"modified":"2025-08-09T20:30:22","modified_gmt":"2025-08-09T20:30:22","slug":"mhra-opens-leeds-digital-recruitment-publictechnology","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/331405\/","title":{"rendered":"MHRA opens Leeds digital recruitment \u2013 PublicTechnology"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The watchdog for overseeing medical products is to move into a new facility in the West Yorkshire city dedicated to technologists, with a number of roles now up for grabs<\/p>\n<p>The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency has started recruiting for a host of digital and data roles that will be based at its new digital hub in Leeds.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.civilserviceworld.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\" noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"401\" height=\"268\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/CSW-logo-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12021\" style=\"width:183px;height:auto\"  \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Back in June, the agency announced plans to set up the hub at the Wellington Place development, where it is based alongside the likes of HM Revenue and Customs, the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government and the Department for Transport.<\/p>\n<p>MHRA currently has 13 digital roles open to applications in the city, including a lead technical architect and a lead security architect, both of whom will be paid up to \u00a378,538 a year according to recruitment agency Allen Lane.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Other available jobs include a senior delivery manager, paid up to \u00a360,233 a year according to the Michael Page agency. They will be tasked with championing \u201cAgile and Lean\u201d practices within MHRA. An IT commercial and contracts specialist is also being sought, with a salary of \u00a355,233 a year on offer to the successful applicant.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>MHRA chief executive Lawrence Tallon said the jobs currently being advertised represented just the \u201cfirst wave\u201d of recruitment and many more posts would follow.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Related content<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLeeds was chosen for its nationally recognised strengths in digital health and strong academic base, and we look forward to building a permanent presence in one of the UK\u2019s most vibrant health tech ecosystems,\u201d he said. \u201cOur MHRA digital hub will play a pivotal role in strengthening our digital and data capabilities, supporting innovation in medical and health technologies, and enabling smarter, more agile regulation. Ultimately, this means better outcomes for patients and a more dynamic life sciences sector.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The MHRA first announced its plans for the Leeds digital hub in June. At the time, the Department of Health and Social Care executive agency said it expected to recruit for around 30 permanent roles focused on digital delivery, software development and data science, \u201cwith the ambition for further expansion\u201d in future phases.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The lead technical architect role is open to applications until 21 August. The commercial and contracts specialist role is open to applications until 22 August. The lead security architect role can be applied for until 28 August. The senior delivery manager role is open until 29 August.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>All opportunities are listed on Civil Service Jobs.
