Tevin Hood, a Georgia-based rapper better known as T-Hood, has died at 33 following a shooting at his home.<\/p>\n

Gwinnett County police responded to reports of a shooting that occurred during a dispute at a residence in unincorporated Snellville on Friday, per TMZ<\/a>.<\/p>\n

First responders arrived promptly, providing emergency aid before transporting Hood to a nearby hospital.<\/p>\n

He later succumbed to his injuries while at the hospital.<\/p>\n

Authorities have detained one individual connected to the incident and are conducting interviews as part of an ongoing homicide investigation.<\/p>\n

Hood\u2019s mother, Yulanda, confirmed her son was the victim and denied that a party was happening at the home during the shooting.<\/p>\n

T-Hood was known in the Southern rap scene for songs like READY 2 GO, Big Booty, and Perculator.<\/p>\n

He last posted on Instagram about a week ago.<\/p>\n

‘We was just on the phone all day I cant believe you are gone,’ his music producer Deddotwill wrote on Instagram.<\/p>\n

\u00a0‘REST IN PEACE T-HOOD I LOVE YOU BROTHER.’<\/p>\n

Just weeks before his death, Tevin shared a comedic video on Instagram on July 21, where he appeared dressed as a ghost in a cemetery for his track Grave Diggerz.<\/p>\n

In the video, the rapper wore a white sheet with red paint around the eye holes, mimicking blood. He joked, \u2018Hello, are you still alive? We are dead down at the cemetery. come down to the cemetery I have a spot for you,\u2019 while laughing.<\/p>\n

He continued with a darkly humorous invite: \u2018All you have to do it die. Just die today. You die today you get to come and play – come on down.\u2019<\/p>\n

Since the post, fans have poured into the comments, expressing sorrow with remarks like, \u2018this one didn’t age well,\u2019 as they honor the late hip-hop artist.<\/p>\n
