{"id":332250,"date":"2025-08-10T04:26:12","date_gmt":"2025-08-10T04:26:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/332250\/"},"modified":"2025-08-10T04:26:12","modified_gmt":"2025-08-10T04:26:12","slug":"air-france-klm-shaves-off-airbus-a350f-orders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/332250\/","title":{"rendered":"Air France-KLM Shaves Off Airbus A350F Orders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>PARIS<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Air France-KLM Group has <a href=\"https:\/\/caasint.com\/air-france-klm-cuts-airbus-a350f-freighter-orders-amid-delays\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">confirmed<\/a> it will cut its Airbus A350F order, reducing total commitment to six aircraft following Airbus\u2019s confirmation of the A350 Freighter&#8217;s delayed entry into service.<\/p>\n<p>As of now, Air France (AF) would receive three Airbus A350 freighters, and the remaining three would be operated by Air France-KLM Group\u2019s Netherlands-based subsidiary, Martinair Cargo (MP).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Both carriers initially ordered four aircraft each, but due to production delays, the number of ordered aircraft was revised to balance future expenditure with operational efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>Future of Air France-KLM Group Cargo Operation\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Group remains committed to a mixed cargo fleet combining freighters and aircraft with belly hold capacity. New A350 freighters will eventually replace Boeing 777-200F in Air France and Boeing 747-400F in KLM and Martinair.<\/p>\n<p>At the moment, Air France-KLM operates 2 Boeing 777F and 4 Boeing 747F aircraft. Leases on current aircraft could be extended to ensure continuous cargo operations until delivery of new A350 freighters.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A350F Order Cancellations\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the Air France-KLM group, launch customer Air Lease Corporation entirely cancelled its order for seven Airbus A350 freighters.
