{"id":332352,"date":"2025-08-10T05:27:38","date_gmt":"2025-08-10T05:27:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/332352\/"},"modified":"2025-08-10T05:27:38","modified_gmt":"2025-08-10T05:27:38","slug":"full-line-up-and-venues-confirmed-for-over-400-free-performances","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/332352\/","title":{"rendered":"Full line-up and venues confirmed for over 400 free performances"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A reggae legend will headline<\/p>\n<p>The lineup and venues for more than 400 free music performances at this year\u2019s Tramlines Fringe have been confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>The Fringe at Tramlines returns to Sheffield in parallel with the main festival between Friday 25th and Sunday 27th June.<\/p>\n<p>The main stage is situated on Devonshire Green, and will be headlined by reggae legend Macka B.<\/p>\n<p>Other artists on the main stage include Sheffield\u2019s Soul Battalion and Shanghai Treason, as well as artists from the city\u2019s WaterBear Music College and Tracks music development programme.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-502380\" class=\"wp-image-502380 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Featured-image-2025-07-24T001131.670.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"630\"  \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-502380\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Macka B via Tramlines<\/p>\n<p>Alongside Sheffield City Council and Tramlines, the other organisation supporting The Fringe is Sheffield BID.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Their Head of Business Operations at Sheffield BID, Diane Jarvis, said: \u201cAs we mark a decade of Sheffield BID in the city centre, we\u2019re rightly proud of our continued association with The Fringe.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cThe event drives footfall, dwell time and much-needed additional spend into the city centre. It\u2019s become one of our signature festivals, and we\u2019re proud to continue backing it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Elsewhere around the city centre, there will be performances at 40 venues such as The Washington, Sidney &amp; Matilda, and the Hallamshire Hotel.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Councillor Mohammed Mahroof, Chair of the Economic Development, Skills and Culture Committee, added: \u201cThe Fringe is free to attend and brings real benefits to our local economy.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cIt adds vibrancy to the city and makes Sheffield a brilliant place to live and visit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Last year, the Fringe drew in more than 45,000 visitors and created an estimated \u00a31.86m for the local economy.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Tramlines was launched in 2009 as a free, Sheffield-based festival.
