If you\u2019ve got the cash to splash, London has no shortage of high-class venues to stay the night or two. And more are popping up each and every year, bringing with them whole new levels of luxury. Some of them even quickly become world-class. Now, two new and incredibly plush London establishments\u00a0have made it onto Travel and Leisure<\/a>\u2019s \u2018It List\u2019 of the 100 best new hotels\u00a0this year<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The publication dispatched 64 experts to hotels across 44 countries and judge whether they were\u00a0worth travelling for and aligned with its \u2018core values\u2019. Beyond cleanliness and all the standard amenities, that means places with thoughtful touches, spacious rooms, spectacular locations, exciting restaurants and a commitment to sustainability and empowering local communities.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s an awful lot to live up to. But at least if a hotel is on that list, you know it\u2019s going to be special. So, which London spots made the grade?\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Emory\u00a0<\/strong>in Belgravia was the first to feature. It\u2019s from the same people behind Claridge\u2019s<\/a> and the Connaught<\/a>, so of course it\u2019s doused in luxury. It boast 61 swanky rooms measuring between 600 to 3,000 sqyare feet, with floor to ceiling windows overlooking Hyde Park.\u00a0T&L highlighted its rooftop bar, private cigar lounge, the four-floor members\u2019 club with a spa and its\u00a0ABC Kitchen, the first London outpost from celebrated chef\u00a0Jean-George Vongerichten.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The second London accommodation to make the cut was the equally luxurious\u00a0Mandarin Oriental, Mayfair.<\/strong>\u00a0London\u2019s second Mandarin Oriental hotel (the other can be found in Knightsbridge)<\/a>, T+L said this outpost \u2018feels like a modern, eight-story British townhouse, with 50 guest rooms, 77 apartments, and a subterranean spa with an 82-foot-long pool.\u2019 Opulent touches include a green marble staircase, gold rubber ducks and intimate fine-dining Korean spot Dosa<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n
