Three men have been arrested after a motorcyclist and a pedestrian died in a crash in Lancashire.<\/p>\n

A BMW motorbike collided with two pedestrians on the A6 Preston Road in Clayton-Le-Woods just after 10.30pm on Thursday.<\/p>\n

The man in his 50s from Macclesfield in Cheshire<\/strong><\/a> who was riding the bike, and one of the pedestrians, a man in his 60s from Clayton-Le-Woods, died at the scene.<\/p>\n

The other pedestrian, a woman in her 60s, was taken to hospital where she remains in a “serious but stable” condition, Lancashire<\/strong><\/a> Police said.<\/p>\n

Three men who were all in the area at the time of the collision were arrested on Friday, the force added.<\/p>\n

They are a 53-year-old man from Whittle-le-Woods, Lancashire; a 57-year-old man from Middlewich, Cheshire; and a 46-year-old man from Congleton, Cheshire.<\/p>\n

All three were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and have been released under investigation.<\/p>\n

Detective Sergeant Joe Ghigi, of Lancashire Police, said in a statement: “This collision has very sadly resulted in the death of two men, and inquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances that led to the collision.<\/p>\n

“Our thoughts are with the woman receiving treatment, and the loved ones of both men who died.<\/p>\n

“Although we have now made three arrests, our inquiries are very much ongoing.<\/p>\n
