{"id":333069,"date":"2025-08-10T12:07:11","date_gmt":"2025-08-10T12:07:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/333069\/"},"modified":"2025-08-10T12:07:11","modified_gmt":"2025-08-10T12:07:11","slug":"flintshire-four-in-hospital-after-multi-vehicle-crash-closes-a55","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/333069\/","title":{"rendered":"Flintshire: Four in hospital after multi-vehicle crash closes A55"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\"><b class=\"ssrcss-1xjjfut-BoldText e5tfeyi3\">Four people have been taken to hospital and a major incident declared following a multi-vehicle crash in north Wales.<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Police were called to the scene on the A55 near Pentre Halkyn, Flintshire, at 15:21 BST on Saturday after a lorry travelling in the eastbound carriageway collided with two westbound vehicles.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">One person with serious injuries was airlifted, and another taken by road, to hospital in Stoke-on-Trent. Two people were also taken to Glan Clwyd Hospital in Rhyl, Denbighshire, by ambulance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The lorry driver \u2013 a 58-year-old man &#8211; was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
