The shift has only added urgency to Middleton’s steady evolution into her future role as Queen. Much like her husband, the Princess of Wales has spent years building the kind of public trust and goodwill that will matter when the time comes. But while the spotlight often falls on her royal image and public appearances, much of her real strength comes from a solid support system, the Middleton family. According to a royal expert, a lesser-known ally is also Alizée Thevenet, wife of Kate’s brother, James Middleton.

<img decoding="async" id="figure-image" contenteditable="false" src="https://d3iil1tw1mksp7.cloudfront.net/0bdf3f86-57d5-4329-b5e7-fcb2ea39bc8e.jpg" alt="Catherine, Princess of Wales on the Royal Dais at Datchet Road on July 08, 2025 in Windsor, England. Her low public profile and close ties to the Middleton family could make her a ‘secret support’ figure at a time when the pressures of the Crown will be at it’s peak. “[Thevenet] potentially can learn the rudiments of negotiating her pathway into the Middleton family,” Dr. Cassidy said, “and hopefully becoming a source of strength, hope, and optimism to our future queen.”

According to the Express, Thevenet’s subtle role within the family, combined with the trust she’s built, could come into sharper focus when William ascends to the throne and Kate becomes Queen Consort. Cassidy also highlighted the key role of Carole Middleton in shaping that bond. “[Carole] is always elegant and chic with a hint of mild sophistication,” Cassidy explained. “And the first impression made is a significant influence on how she interacts with Thevenet, thereby shaping the foundation of future high-profile and family gatherings.” Thevenet stepped out alongside the royals at this year’s Royal Ascot, alongside Carole, which goes to show how close she is with them.

<img decoding="async" id="figure-image" contenteditable="false" src="https://d3iil1tw1mksp7.cloudfront.net/1aff9f09-9b89-4dfd-85e9-9c36ab3cb4b6.jpg" alt="Alizee Thevenet and Carole Middleton watch the racing as they attend day two of Royal Ascot at Ascot Racecourse. Traditionally held by a noblewoman or trusted companion, the role is less about status and more about loyalty and access.

Though Pippa doesn’t hold a royal title herself, her marriage to James Matthews, who holds a Scottish feudal title, adds a layer of formality. But it’s her long-standing relationship with Kate that is significant. Like Queen Camilla, who keeps a small team of Ladies-in-Waiting who stay out of the limelight, Kate may choose to keep her support circle tight and familiar.

King Charles continues to scale back on his royal duties amid ongoing health concerns, and as per reports…

[7708
7709,7730,7731,1760,7710,519,2417
0":"post-333200","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-royals","8":"tag-british-royal-family","9":"tag-charles","10":"tag-charles-iii","11":"tag-king-charles","12":"tag-royal-families","13":"tag-royal-family","14":"tag-the-queen
["GET
