More than 2000 years of history were condensed at Fort George this weekend, as the Highland fortress turned into a time capsule for the popular Celebration of the Centuries event.<\/p>\n
Run by Historic Environment Scotland (HES), this is the organisation\u2019s largest re-enactment \u2014 which was Scottish history come alive in front of spectators of all ages.<\/p>\n

From the Picts up to WWII \u2014 passing through the Romans and a jousting tournament featuring Robert the Bruce, living history performers brought the past to life.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Gillian Urquhart, Events Manager at Historic Environment Scotland, said: \u201cWe were thrilled to welcome visitors back to Celebration of the Centuries at Fort George.<\/p>\n
