Spanish carrier Volotea<\/a> has announced a new interline agreement with Air Cara\u00efbes and French bee<\/a>, connecting its passengers to a host of new airports in North America, the Caribbean and other long-haul destinations. This will include four popular United States<\/a> destinations in Los Angeles, Miami, New York and San Francisco delivered by French bee’s network. <\/p>\n

The agreement applies to all Volotea routes to Paris Orly, which it connects to eight airports in France and Italy. In turn, Air Cara\u00efbes and French bee will sell Volotea flights and combine them with their own long-haul services out of Paris-Orly.<\/p>\n

Starting on August 6, Volotea passengers will be able to seamlessly connect to a host of long-haul services operated by Air Cara\u00efbes and French bee out of Paris Orly (ORY), covering the Caribbean, French Polynesia, R\u00e9union, Canada, and the United States. Similarly, passengers with Air Cara\u00efbes and French bee can fly in to Paris Orly before their connecting flight from one of eight Volotea airports – namely Lourdes, Rodez, Alghero, Ancona, Genoa, Olbia, Turin, and Verona – all on a single ticket.<\/p>\n

This makes for a hassle-free travel experience for participating passengers, as bags will be checked through Paris Orly to the final destination. Timings have also been coordinated to minimize connecting times in Paris. Below are all the connections served by Air Cara\u00efbes and French bee out of ORY.<\/p>\n\n

Air Cara\u00efbes and French bee are both part of a small but growing list of Airbus A350-1000 operators. Air Cara\u00efbes has four examples of the -1000 in its fleet alongside three A350-900s, while French bee flies two -1000s and four -900s. Additionally, Air Cara\u00efbes has two older Airbus A330-300 in its fleet.<\/p>\n

There are some key differences between each carrier’s A350 fleets, with French bee going for a denser configuration that can fit up to 480 passengers. It also doesn’t have a true business class product, with its front cabin featuring premium economy instead.<\/p>\n\n

On the contrary, Air Cara\u00efbes has lie-flat business cabins at the front of their aircraft. With a 2-2-2 configuration, each seat features a sliding screen for privacy and sizable 18.5″ HD IFE screens.<\/p>\n

Busy Year Ahead For Volotea<\/p>\n

Volotea currently serves around 110 airports and will operate an impressive 420 routes over 2025, over half of which it will be the exclusive operator. Its yearly seat capacity will be 1% greater than in 2024, with approximately 75,000 flights scheduled for the year.<\/p>\n

Volotea operates with an all-Airbus fleet of A319ceo and A320ceo narrowbodies, having previously been an operator of the Boeing 717.
