Piers Morgan has clarified his comments that Jake Paul’s boxing career has been ‘staged’ in a bid to avoid legal proceedings.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The YouTuber<\/a> released a statement on social media, claiming to have threatened to sue the British journalist following their recent feud.<\/p>\n

Paul had stormed out of an interview in June with former TV presenter Morgan, who now identifies himself as a YouTube star.<\/p>\n

The 60-year-old criticised\u00a0the Problem’s Child victory over Mike Tyson<\/a> to spark a war of words between the two<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The fight became\u00a0the most-streamed sporting event ever,<\/a>\u00a0but it was widely panned due to Tyson’s age (59) and lack of competitiveness.<\/p>\n

Following Morgan’s comments, Paul went on a furious tirade,\u00a0fat-shaming the ex-ITV and talkTV presenter<\/a>\u00a0before ending their call.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old has now secured another victory over a middle-aged man<\/a>, who described his boxing career as ‘boring staged bull***t’.<\/p>\n

Morgan has taken to X to release a statement clarifying those comments, but insisted he wasn’t issuing any ‘apology’ or retraction.<\/p>\n

He wrote: “I posted a few weeks ago that Jake Paul\u2019s boxing career has been \u201cboring staged bulls***.\u201d<\/p>\n

“What I meant is that his fights have been predominantly against older, past-their-prime opponents, which may be lucrative for both sides, and may have entertainment value.<\/p>\n

“But don\u2019t reveal how he stacks up against currently ranked boxers and therefore are not a good look for the sport.<\/p>\n

“I did not intend to suggest that the outcome was predetermined and certainly didn\u2019t mean to suggest anything illegal.<\/p>\n

Paul wrote alongside a screenshot of the latter’s statement: \u201cThe first peasant that I sue gets on his knees and apologizes. <\/p>\n

Paul then shared an AI-generated image of himself wearing a crown, on a throne, while Morgan kneels alongside him and kisses his hand.<\/p>\n

A third post said: \u201cIf anyone says my fights are staged, you will be sued, and secondly, you’re a jealous ass peasant who cannot even believe how good I am at this sport, and you should go to church to fix your insecurities.<\/p>\n

\u201cI pray for you because I have so much love humanity, and that includes the people who are against me.<\/p>\n
