The pursuit of a new striker at Leeds United remains open, with the club yet to finally bring in another centre-forward following the arrival of Lukas Nmecha on a free transfer.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nmecha has arrived, while Patrick Bamford has been told he can go. Elsewhere, Joe Gelhardt and Mateo Joseph were both confirmed as leaving Leeds<\/a> on loan, joining Hull City and returning to Mallorca.<\/p>\n

With just eight days left before Leeds face Everton in their first game back in the Premier League<\/a>, Daniel Farke<\/a> has just Nmecha and Joel Piroe to choose from. Piroe started against Milan on Saturday in Ireland.<\/p>\n

Leeds continue to pursue a deal for Rodrigo Muniz<\/a> having tabled a \u00a332m bid for the Brazilian<\/a>, while Al Ahli\u2019s Aleksandar Mitrovic has been linked. Paul Robinson would like either Mitrovic or Muniz brought in<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Leeds have been linked with plenty of strikers from all over Europe. Reports even emerged over the weekend that Leeds agreed a move with Sassuolo for Andrea Pinamonti<\/a>, but he rejected the transfer.<\/p>\n

Earlier in the summer, Ireland international Troy Parrott was linked with Leeds<\/a>. AZ Alkmaar told Leeds to pay a whopping \u00a325m for Parrott<\/a>, and Leeds chose not to. Now, they might be regretting that decision.<\/p>\n

With the Eredivisie getting underway this weekend and European qualifiers already taking place, Parrott has already played five times. His brace on Sunday in a 4-1 win over Groningen was his sixth and seventh.<\/p>\n

Parrott joined and broke in at Tottenham during his early teens, and much pressure was planted on the striker\u2019s shoulders. A few loans in England came and went, without ever really reaching his potential.<\/p>\n

But, a move to the Netherlands has really brought out Parrott\u2019s potential and now, he is turning it into proven quality. Not just in Holland, but also on the European stage for Alkmaar over the last year.<\/p>\n

Robbie Keane said he sees similarities between himself and Parrott<\/a>.
