Another week down, and, per usual, a bunch of new\u00a0tech and gadgets<\/a>\u00a0have been announced.<\/p>\n

This past week, Audioengine upgraded its popular desktop speakers, Yamaha revealed its most advanced Dolby Atmos soundbar to date, and Camp Snap announced a retro-inspired digital camera. But that\u2019s just scratching the surface.<\/p>\n

Below, we\u2019ve rounded up all the most interesting new releases and announcements you might have missed from the past week.<\/p>\n

Audioengine HD3 Next Gen (2025)<\/p>\n

\t\tThe Audioengine HD3 Next Gen<\/a> is the latest iteration of the company\u2019s HD3 powered speaker system, which was first introduced in 2016. These \u201cNext Gen\u201d models resemble their predecessors and are designed for desktop\/ laptop use, but they\u2019ve been upgraded with a USB-C connection, an improved 24-bit DAC, and support for Bluetooth aptX. They are available in three finishes: satin black, real walnut veneer, and high-gloss piano white.\t<\/p>\n

Yamaha True X Surround 90A<\/p>\n

\t\tYamaha claims that the True X Surround 90A<\/a> is its \u201cmost advanced\u201d Dolby Atmos soundbar yet. It\u2019s a complete surround sound package comprised of a soundbar, wireless subwoofer and two wireless surround (or rear-channel) speakers. The soundbar is the standout, featuring 19 total drivers \u2014 12 of which are up-firing drivers \u2014 to deliver an unbelievably immersive Dolby Atmos experience. Additionally, the two surround speakers can operate either wirelessly or wired, and can be used as standalone portable Bluetooth speakers when you\u2019re not watching TV. \t<\/p>\n

Camp Snap CS-8 Digital Video Recorder<\/p>\n

\t\tCamp Snap\u2019s CS-8 <\/a>is a digital camera that resembles the Super 8 film cameras from the 1970s \u2014 only instead of film, it uses an SD card. The CS-8 is a video-only camera capable of recording 4K video and is designed for easy use. You simply turn it on, choose the filter (5 options) and aspect ratio (4 options) you want to use, and hold the trigger on the handle to start recording. The camera replicates the analog experience as you can\u2019t see what you\u2019ve shot until you\u2019ve uploaded it to your computer. \t<\/p>\n

Campfire Audio Grand Luna<\/p>\n

\n\t\tThe Grand Luna are the Portland-based hi-fi maker\u2019s first pair of in-ear monitors with a planar-balanced armature hybrid driver configuration \u2014 they combine a 14mm planar magnetic driver with two precision-tuned balanced armatures. This allows them to deliver a rich, immersive sound with a wide frequency range (5Hz to 30kHz). Additionally, they have a new modular cable system that comes with three interchangeable terminators (3.5mm, 4.4mm, and USB-C DAC), so you can use them with various sources. \t<\/p>\n

It\u2019s equipped with the same tray-style CD loading mechanism as in the brand\u2019s higher-end CD player, the Shanling CD-S100 ($589), and features an upgraded DAC (Cirrus Logic CS43198) chip. It is also integrated with dual headphone amplifiers and audio jacks, one 3.5mm (single-ended) or one 4.4mm (balanced),\u00a0making it a good fit for headphone fans who want a more private CD listening experience. \t<\/p>\n

LG CineBeam S<\/p>\n

\t\tThe CineBeam S is an ultra-short-throw (UST) projector \u2014 meaning it sits right below where you want the picture to be, and you don\u2019t have to rearrange your room to accommodate it \u2014 that promises to deliver a true 4K picture up to 100 inches. Despite its compact size, it features built-in speakers that support Dolby Atmos, promising to deliver a cinematic audio experience. LG claims<\/a> that the CineBeam S \u201ccan turn even the smallest space into a premier personal theater.\u201d At the time of writing, US pricing and availability has yet to be released. \t<\/p>\n

It connects to public Wi-Fi, whether at your hotel or the airport, and then you can wirelessly connect all your devices to the router without having to sign in to a Wi-Fi login page or go through those\u00a0captive portals multiple times. It also supports most VPNs, ensuring you browse the web in private. It lacks a built-in battery, but can be charged via a portable power bank or even a laptop. Avid Evo Two Loudspeakers<\/p>\n

\t\tAs part of the British hi-fi maker\u2019s 30th anniversary, Avid has introduced a high-end pair of floorstanding loudspeakers. The Evo Two<\/a> are the new flagship loudspeakers in the company\u2019s acclaimed Evo Series \u2014 and they are essentially the next step up from its Evo Three floorstanding loudspeakers, which cost roughly $18,000. The Evo Two are 3.5-way floorstanding loudspeakers that feature an improved cabinet design and a revised driver arrangement, which, according to the brand, promises to \u201cfurther enhance low-frequency performance and soundstage depth.\u201d\t<\/p>\n

Cambridge Audio Melomania P100 SE<\/p>\n

\t\tThe Melomania P100 SE<\/a> are a new-and-improved version of Cambridge Audio\u2019s Melomania P100, which were released in 2024. Like their predecessors, they are wireless noise-canceling headphones with pretty superb battery life \u2014 up to 100 hours with ANC off, up to 60 hours with ANC on. The difference is they feature upgraded sound thanks to newly tuned drivers and support for aptX Lossless, a Bluetooth codec that enables the streaming of CD-quality audio. They now feature the brand\u2019s proprietary tech, called DynamEQ, which monitors the volume of your audio and subtly adjusts bass and treble. And they also come in a new blue finish. All these upgrades come at a $20 price increase. \t<\/p>\n
