There are just three weeks of the transfer window remaining and seemingly still more work to do for Liverpool<\/a>. Guehi has just one year remaining on his contract and featured as the Eagles defeated Liverpool at Wembley.<\/p>\n Mail Online<\/a> report that the Merseyside club are set to enter talks for the defender’s signature, with the England international still said to be valued at \u00a345m by Palace. Slot is in need of some reinforcement of his backline with just Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate and Joe Gomez at his disposal in the centre of defence.<\/p>\n Another hijack?<\/p>\n Liverpool are reported to have considered hijacking another Newcastle transfer this summer. Amid the club’s interest in Alexander Isak, the Reds moved to sign Mapgies target Hugo Ekitike after being knocked back the first time<\/a>.<\/p>\n Sky Sports report<\/a> that there was also some late interest in another Newcastle target, in Yoane Wissa.
