{"id":335200,"date":"2025-08-11T07:54:13","date_gmt":"2025-08-11T07:54:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/335200\/"},"modified":"2025-08-11T07:54:13","modified_gmt":"2025-08-11T07:54:13","slug":"france-on-red-alert-for-week-of-sweltering-heatwaves","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/335200\/","title":{"rendered":"France on red alert for week of sweltering heatwaves"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n                        Large part of south west France have been placed on red alert &#8211; the highest level, indicating a potential danger to life &#8211; for heatwaves, while most of the rest of the country is expecting a scorchingly hot week.\n                    <\/p>\n<p>French weather forecaster M\u00e9t\u00e9o France is predicting a week of &#8220;exceptional&#8221; heat and has placed 12 d\u00e9partements on red alert level for high temperatures on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>They are; Charente, Charente-Maritime, Dordogne, Gironde, Lot, Lot-et-Garonne, Tarn-et-Garonne, Landes, Gers, Tarn, Haute-Garonne and Aude.<\/p>\n<p>This is the highest alert level indicating a possible danger to life from the heat, and triggers emergency heatwave plans from local authorities.
