{"id":335573,"date":"2025-08-11T11:18:13","date_gmt":"2025-08-11T11:18:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/335573\/"},"modified":"2025-08-11T11:18:13","modified_gmt":"2025-08-11T11:18:13","slug":"if-i-get-in-the-right-mindset-i-can-do-well","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/335573\/","title":{"rendered":"\u201cIf I get in the right mindset, I can do well\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Brandon McNulty clinched the overall title at the 2025 Tour<br \/>\nde Pologne in emphatic style on Sunday, winning the decisive final-day<br \/>\nindividual time trial to secure the yellow jersey. <a href=\"https:\/\/cyclinguptodate.com\/antonio-tiberi\" title=\"Antonio Tiberi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Antonio Tiberi<\/a>, riding for<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/cyclinguptodate.com\/bahrain-victorious\" title=\"Bahrain - Victorious\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bahrain &#8211; Victorious<\/a>, was in contention for the general classification heading<br \/>\ninto the stage and produced a strong ride to finish fourth on the day. For much<br \/>\nof the afternoon, the Italian\u2019s time looked like it might be enough to put him<br \/>\nin yellow, but McNulty\u2019s powerful display over the rolling course proved too<br \/>\nmuch.<\/p>\n<p>The American stopped the clock as the fastest rider, leapfrogging Tiberi<br \/>\nand taking the GC by 29 seconds. Matteo Sobrero completed the podium in third<br \/>\noverall, just behind Tiberi.<\/p>\n<p>Reflecting on his ride, Tiberi acknowledged both the<br \/>\nchallenge of the course and McNulty\u2019s performance. \u201cIt took me a moment to find<br \/>\nmy rhythm. I struggled a bit, but just before reaching the top I felt my legs<br \/>\nwere good and I found my pace. Then I tried to give my all on the rolling<br \/>\nsection, as if the finish were at the summit. At the intermediate checkpoint<br \/>\nthey told me I had a good time, and that gave me a little extra boost to tackle<br \/>\nthe rest of the stage,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Tiberi explained that time trial success often comes down to<br \/>\nmindset and pacing. \u201cIn general, I prefer longer time trials that allow me to<br \/>\nsettle into a rhythm, and managing yourself well is also really important. But<br \/>\nI\u2019ve noticed that even in shorter time trials, if I get in the right mindset, I<br \/>\ncan do well. I\u2019m happy with how it went.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While missing out on overall victory will sting, the result<br \/>\nmarks another strong showing for the young Italian.
