Former Blue Peter presenter Peter Perves appeared on BBC Breakfast<\/a> today to speak about his late colleague, however some fans weren’t too happy with his comments. Speaking to the breakfast programme, he said: “She was an absolute power house. The programme would not still exist if it hadn’t been for her.<\/p>\n “She was very controlling and she controlled the show wonderfully,” he said. He also said that she was sometimes “very difficult to work with” and that working with her “could be very, very testing but gratifying”.<\/p>\n Some viewers weren’t impressed with Peter’s tribute however, with many taking to social media to say that it wasn’t appropriate. “Peter Purvis bashing biddy baxter was obviously not the best persons to speak on her death announcement. It was just a dig followed by compliment followed by another dig. So disrespectful,” one wrote.<\/p>\n Another said: “Peter Purvis wasn\u2019t a fan then. #BBCBreakfast.” While a third write: “I’m here for Peter Purvis not letting s**t go. #BBCBreakfast<\/a>.”<\/p>\n Fans paid tribute to Blue Peter legend Biddy after her tragic death, announcing by Ten Acre Films on Facebook<\/a>. They said in a statement: “We are sad to report that longtime Blue Peter Editor Biddy Baxter has died at the age of 92.<\/p>\n “We salute a true pioneer, who navigated changing times in the television industry with instinct, tenacity and style.”<\/p>\n One fan wrote on X: “ust heard the sad news. She lived a wonderful life and gave pleasure to millions of Blue Peter viewers.
