According to the nearby Godalming Museum, the farmouse on Hoe Lane was used as a retreat for Winston Churchill, alongside his wife and brother, in the summer of 1915. It\u2019s said to be that whilst staying here, Churchill discovered his love of painting<\/strong> \u2013 and some reproductions of his early work, depicting the farmhouse in all its glory, is on display at the museum<\/a>.<\/p>\n
