Latest Manchester United transfer news and gossip as Rasmus Hojlund’s potential exit could present an opportunity for a swap deal for United\"Mark<\/p>\n

Manchester United<\/a> could have the perfect opportunity to agree a swap deal in the near future.<\/p>\n

The signing of Benjamin Sesko<\/a> could go on to have major ramifications in the United squad. The Reds signing the striker from RB Leipzig in a deal worth up to \u00a374million with add-ons, with Sesko now expected to lead the line for the season ahead.<\/p>\n

The decision to sign Sesko has led to speculation around Rasmus Hojlund<\/a> and Joshua Zirkzee’s<\/a> future at Old Trafford<\/a>. In particular, it seems that Hojlund could be set to leave the club in light of Sesko’s arrival.<\/p>\n

The Manchester Evening News<\/a> understands that AC Milan are interested in signing Hojlund this summer. United are thought to want \u00a330million for a permanent deal, while Milan are understood to be weighing up a loan move.<\/p>\n

If United were to convince Milan that a permanent move is the best for all parties, it could present an opportunity for the Reds to get a swap deal on the cards. This is because Milan may have a player who may be of interest to United.<\/p>\n

Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan has been heavily linked with a move away from the San Siro this summer. Chelsea were reported to have an interest in the France international ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup, but a deal could not be completed.<\/p>\n

Now, Maignan still faces an uncertain future at Milan and it remains to be seen if he will still be at the Serie A giants after the deadline. Amid this speculation, United have been heavily linked with signing a new goalkeeper, although Maignan has yet to be mentioned as a potential target.<\/p>\n

Paris Saint-Germain shot-stopper Gianluigi Donnarumma has been linked with United over the last couple of weeks. If a deal cannot be agreed for the Italy international, Maignan could present a potential swap deal opportunity for United.<\/p>\n

If Milan want to sign Hojlund and United still want to sign a goalkeeper, could both clubs come to an agreement that involves Maignan moving to Old Trafford? It’s pure speculation at this point, of course, but it’s could present an opportunity to United that they may not have thought would come along a few weeks ago.<\/p>\n
