{"id":336181,"date":"2025-08-11T16:39:11","date_gmt":"2025-08-11T16:39:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/336181\/"},"modified":"2025-08-11T16:39:11","modified_gmt":"2025-08-11T16:39:11","slug":"heatwave-met-office-issues-amber-hot-weather-warning-for-west-midlands","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/336181\/","title":{"rendered":"HEATWAVE &#8211; Met Office issues amber hot weather warning for West Midlands"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\t\tPEOPLE are being warned to take care tomorrow (Tuesday) after the Met Office issued an amber heat warning for the West Midlands.<br \/>\nTemperatures in the region \u2013 including Coventry and Solihull \u2013 are set to rise to 30\u00b0C around midday and then peak at between 33\u00b0C and 34\u00b0C between 4pm and 6pm.<\/p>\n<p>Following the revelation, the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) and the Met Office have issued advice for people to help them stay as cool as possible.<\/p>\n<p>Staying cool tips<\/p>\n<p>Keeping homes cool by closing windows and curtains in rooms that face the sun<\/p>\n<p>Those going outside should wear suitable clothing, such as an appropriate hat and sunglasses, and seek shade and apply sunscreen regularly<\/p>\n<p>Keep out of the sun at the hottest time of the day, between 11am and 3pm<\/p>\n<p>Anyone undertaking physical exercise \u2013 such as running or walking the dog \u2013 should plan their session during times of the day when it is cooler, such as the morning or evening<\/p>\n<p>Know the symptoms of heat exhaustion and heatstroke and what to do if you or someone else has them.
