Commuters who were accused of assaulting a man who had exposed himself on a packed London Underground carriage could be arrested.<\/p>\n

British Transport Police (BTP) said the naked man, who was detained under the Mental Health Act, was allegedly attacked on the District Line in East London.<\/p>\n

He was then arrested by an off-duty police officer a short time later.<\/p>\n

However, detectives are deciding whether the men committed any criminal offences during the confrontation with the naked man.<\/p>\n

While the BPT has appealed for witnesses to come forward, no arrests have been made over the brawl.<\/p>\n

“The man had been assaulted by a number of other passengers and was initially arrested by an off-duty officer, before being detained under the Mental Health Act and taken to hospital,” BTP said in a statement.<\/p>\n

In a video posted to X, a man approaches the naked person, saying: “Yo, you need to get off the f**king train bro”.<\/p>\n

The man, who had his trousers around his ankles, yelled in response: “F**k off.”<\/p>\n

The bystander again tells the man that “you need to get off the f**king train, mate”.<\/p>\n

He added that “there’s f**king kids about”.<\/p>\n

The video then pans to several commuters appearing to watch nervously as other men join in, telling the naked man to pull up his trousers.<\/p>\n

A bystander is then allegedly seen kicking in the direction of the naked man.<\/p>\n

The video pans away before a group of men are seen throwing kicks and slaps as the naked man is backed against the Tube doors.<\/p>\n

After the video cuts off, the naked man is then seen lying on the ground with his hands behind his back.<\/p>\n

He is then seen being dragged by his feet, carried off the train and onto the platform.<\/p>\n

It is yet another incident on the London Underground, which comes under Sir Sadiq Khan’s Transport for London.<\/p>\n

Since Khan became Mayor in 2016, London Underground crime rates have more than doubled.<\/p>\n

According to the Daily Mail, London’s most dangerous tube and train stations found 4,100 crimes were recorded at King’s Cross St Pancras alone in 2024. <\/p>\n

It is more than any other station on the TFL network.<\/p>\n
