Wendy’s is set to open its third site in Merseyside\"AA new Wendy’s restaurant is set to open in Merseyside <\/p>\n

Wendy’s has teased the potential new opening date for its new Merseyside restaurant. The fast food chain first arrived in the UK in 2021 and has a total of 30 locations in England. Wendy\u2019s opened as part of Liverpool ONE entertainment complex Gravity MAX in 2023.<\/a> A year later, its first bricks and mortar site in Merseyside opened at the Academy Business Park, on County Road, Kirkby<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The menu at Wendy’s includes its signature square burgers and Frosty deserts. There are also breakfast sandwiches, sausage, egg and cheese croissant, spicy chicken nuggets, Caesar chicken salads and more.<\/p>\n

Wendy’s confirmed in June 2025 that its first store in Wirral<\/a> with a drive-thru restaurant will open at the Croft Retail Park in Bromborough<\/a>. A series of units in the retail park were bought by Red Sun Projects last year.<\/p>\n

The fast food chain’s latest social media posts suggests the Wirral restaurant could be open very soon.<\/p>\n

The Instagram post, which features a square burger patty in front of Wallasey<\/a> Town Hall, reads: “Wirral, ready to meet the square burger? Wirral – 1 Wasdale Way, Bromborough. 12th August.”<\/p>\n

Part of the site was purchased by Gastronomy Properties for the creation of food outlets. Gastronomy will be operating a Wendy\u2019s and a Starbucks under its UK franchise agreement.<\/p>\n

Speaking last year,<\/a> Nick Wightman, director at Redsun Projects, said: \u201cWe are pleased to deliver this high-quality development on time and in budget, a major testament to the design and construction team who brought our vision for this site to life.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe exceptional standard of the scheme no doubt contributed to us securing such high-profile occupiers as the Starbucks and Wendy\u2019s brands and Lok\u2019nStore prior to the works being completed.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are already talking to businesses that are interested in taking space on the second and final phase on the site, which we hope to be on-site with shortly.\u201d<\/p>\n

Croft Retail Park is already home to several big name fast food chains including Five Guys, Subway, KFC and Burger King.<\/p>\n
