As things stand, Marc Guehi is likely to face his former club Chelsea this Sunday in the Premier League.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Crystal Palace travel to Stamford Bridge<\/a> to take on the Club World Cup<\/a> winners in their first league game of the new season.<\/p>\n

With his contract running down, though, Guehi<\/a> has been linked with several different English clubs.<\/p>\n

One of those clubs is Chelsea, and plenty of Chelsea fans would like to see Guehi return<\/a> to west London following Levi Colwill\u2019s injury.<\/p>\n

It seems unlikely to happen, but if Chelsea were to sign Guehi before they welcome Palace to the Bridge, that would bring the defender\u2019s terrible run against his old side to a halt.<\/p>\n

Since joining the Eagles from the Blues in 2021, Guehi is actually yet to beat his former employers. That could change on Sunday if Guehi is still a Palace player and faces Chelsea, but things can happen quickly in the transfer window. Chelsea or another Premier League<\/a> outfit could sign the 25-year-old this week.<\/p>\n

Having entered the final 12 months of his contract, the Community Shield winners are open to selling Guehi, reluctant to lose the England international on a free transfer.<\/p>\n

It is thought that Guehi\u2019s preference is to join Liverpool<\/a>, who were beaten by Palace at Wembley over the weekend.<\/p>\n

If Chelsea strike first, there is no reason why they cannot land Guehi. Being a Champions League side who have just won the Club World Cup, Stamford Bridge is still an attractive destination.<\/p>\n

Amid their interest in him, it has been reported that Chelsea could sign Guehi for just \u00a340m<\/a>, which is a bargain in this day and age.<\/p>\n
