Bill Maher<\/a> has shared his candid thoughts about the hosts of the hit daytime talk show, The View<\/a> – and it doesn\u2019t sound like he\u2019s a big fan. <\/p>\n The 69-year-old TV host<\/a> reflected on his appearances on The View<\/a> and interactions with hosts of it, including Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar, during Monday\u2019s episode of his podcast, Club Random. The View has become a frequent target for those on the right who bash the hosts for being too liberal or taking too many shots against Donald Trump. In fact, reports say the show<\/a> has been told to tone down the anti-Trump talk. <\/p>\n \u201cI love Whoopi and Joy, those are the two I really know,\u201d he told his guest, Drew Barrymore. \u201cAnd I did [the show] like a year ago. And I like everybody.\u201d<\/p>\n Maher then shared his take about The View hosts\u2019 tactics on the air, claiming: \u201cI don\u2019t know if they\u2019re really, at this moment, the best advertisement for women.\u201d <\/p>\n After Barrymore said the show was \u201cformatted\u201d a certain way, Maher continued his arguments about the ABC show hosts. <\/p>\n \u201cThey say some things that are like not helpful to say elections,\u201d Maher, who appeared on The View<\/a> in May 2024<\/a> \u2013 where he was asked pointed questions about Israel\u2019s war in Gaza<\/a> \u2014 added. <\/p>\n open image in gallery<\/p>\n Bill Maher took a shot at The View saying it is not \u2018the best advertisement for women\u2019 (Getty Images)<\/p>\n The Real Time with Bill Maher host has previously slammed The View. During a July episode of his podcast, he criticized Goldberg for the remarks she made about Iran. During a June episode of The View, Goldberg argued that living in the United States as a Black person is comparable to the oppression that citizens of the Iranian regime face<\/a>. <\/p>\n Maher later claimed that Goldberg\u2019s comments were an \u201cinfuriating\u201d thing \u201cabout the far left.\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cCall them whatever they want. Not the woke, the stupid woke, like Whoopi Goldberg, love her, but when she said a couple weeks ago that being Black was the same as being a woman in Iran, it\u2019s like, yeah, in 1920, but not today,\u201d Maher said on his podcast in July. <\/p>\n open image in gallery<\/p>\n Reports say The View has been told to tone down the anti-Trump talk.
