{"id":337045,"date":"2025-08-12T00:14:12","date_gmt":"2025-08-12T00:14:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/337045\/"},"modified":"2025-08-12T00:14:12","modified_gmt":"2025-08-12T00:14:12","slug":"pettman-crescent-roadworks-plumstead-woolwich-traffic-anger","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/337045\/","title":{"rendered":"Pettman Crescent roadworks: Plumstead Woolwich traffic anger"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  From today (August 11) to September 5, lanes of the A206 southbound are closed with temporary traffic lights on Pettman Crescent.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Greenwich council warned in a post on X that \u201cthere will be delays\u201d, but it has been called \u201ca complete and utter disaster\u201d by some road users.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  One person said: \u201cWhat a complete and utter disaster &#8211; absolute gridlock.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cHow long are those of us who rely on the buses in Woolwich going to have to put up with this?\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Another described it as \u2018Busmageddon\u2019 due to the number of buses they saw stuck in traffic queues.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Another posted a video of &#8220;standstill&#8221; traffic in Woolwich they said were \u201cdue to the road works\u2026 at Pettman Crescent\u201d.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Some have said they have\u00a0missed appointments due to delays they describe as stretching to an hour and a half.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  One said on a local social media page: \u201cAbsolute chaos. Nothing is moving, heard one bus driver on another route state he was hour and a half late!\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Another said: \u201cIt is not just delays. The traffic is dead.
