\n\tAmid a feud with his brother<\/a> and a reported distance from his father<\/a>, Prince William<\/a> is finding another person to confide in and it\u2019s not his wife, Kate Middleton<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tDuring an episode of the podcast Dynasty: The Royal Family\u2019s Most Challenging Year,\u00a0via Daily Mail<\/a>, royal expert Katie Nicholl said William has built a \u201creally wonderful\u201d relationship with Kate\u2019s father, Michael Middleton<\/a> and often leans of his father-in-law in troubling times.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI know they have a close relationship<\/a>, and that William will often turn to Michael for advice,\u201d she said. \u201cHe has a great sense of humor and I think he\u2019s someone who is a cool head in a crisis.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMicheal, often described as the quietest member of the Middleton family, is far less public than his wife, Carole Middleton<\/a>, and their children, Kate, Pippa, and James. However, the family has always been known for their closeness and that bond now includes William.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThey would always stick together. They were a very tight unit and they\u2019re still the same today,\u201d Nicholl said while her co-host, Erin Vanderhoof, added William found a sense of \u201cnormalcy\u201d with his in-laws that wasn\u2019t previously in his life.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI think, as kind of a man as King Charles is, he was not necessarily the warmest, most open person,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n

\n\tNicholl also spoke about one of the rare insights into Michael and William\u2019s relationship that came in Michael\u2019s father-of-the-bride speech at William and Kate\u2019s 2011 wedding.<\/p>\n
