As USA Gymnastics CEO Li Li Leung prepares to step down at the end of the year<\/a>, the role that \u201cnobody wanted six years ago — not even Leung, initially — is suddenly remarkably more attractive,\u201d according to Will Graves of the AP. Membership has \u201crisen to more than 240,000 athletes, coaches and gym owners during Leung\u2019s watch.\u201d The corporate sponsors \u201cthat fled\u201d after the Larry Nassar scandal \u201chave returned<\/a>.\u201d Just last week USA Gymnastics announced a partnership with NBC Sports<\/a> that will run through the 2032 Brisbane Games. Leung \u201cknew early on that the most important aspect of her mission was to restore faith among the organization\u2019s hundreds of thousands of members, and just as vitally, the hundreds of women who were abused\u201d by Nassar.
