{"id":337724,"date":"2025-08-12T06:13:10","date_gmt":"2025-08-12T06:13:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/337724\/"},"modified":"2025-08-12T06:13:10","modified_gmt":"2025-08-12T06:13:10","slug":"taking-a-peek-to-how-solihull-is-kept-safe-at-chelmsley-wood-police-station","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/337724\/","title":{"rendered":"Taking a peek to how Solihull is kept safe at Chelmsley Wood Police Station"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\t\tHUNDREDS flocked to Chelmsley Wood police station to take a peek into the work that goes into keeping the borough safe.<\/p>\n<p>Officers were joined by the force\u2019s \u2018pawsome\u2019 four legged colleagues and other departments including traffic, our dog unit, firearms and drones.\n<\/p>\n<p>They were displays around personal safety training, how police drones and arrest demos.<\/p>\n<p>Officers from Chelmsley and Smiths Wood were also on hand to listen to local concerns and issues.<\/p>\n<p>West Midlands Fire Service, St John Ambulance were also on hand with displays and stands.<\/p>\n<p>Police cadets and volunteers very helped out on the day and Solihull Community Safety Partnership gaming bus was at the open day for all to enjoy.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Inspector Andy Bridgewater, who looks after policing in North Solihull, said: \u201cWe had a great day hosting this fantastic event for the community. It was an opportunity for us to speak to local residents about issues that matter most to them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur officers and staff always put a lot of effort into organising these events, because we know how much it means to the local community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA big thank you to everyone who came to visit us and thank you to everyone who donated to Macmillan on the day. We raised more than \u00a3500 for a great cause.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCommunity policing is at the very heart of we do. We look forward to seeing many of you out and about on our patrols.
